Our newly developed Blooming Stars Child Care Centre is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and passionate Centre Director to work with a very supportive management, in a boutique long day care service in the heart of Ferntree Gully.
Benefits include:
- Generous salary with above award wages + staff bonuses
- Enjoy support from the management
- Friendly and supportive culture
- Flexibility with rostered time off and true work life balance
- Commitment to training, professional development and career pathway progression
- Discount offered for team members who have children in care at the service
The service is centrally located, close to public transport and provides a parking spot for the leader. With just 27 children at full capacity this is a job that is easily manageable and comes with less stress than some of the bigger centres in the area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager to really make this your own.
We are looking for a strong leader, with experience in a similar setting. You must demonstrate a proven ability to use your communication skills to persuade, engage, inspire, and motivate a team of passionate Educators to deliver optimal learning outcomes for the families being served.
As Centre Manager, you will oversee the daily operations, including but not limited to:
- Guiding and mentoring a small handy team of Educators (4-6)
- Develop collaborative partnerships with families and the community
- Supporting and upholding the Centres policies, procedures, philosophy and regulations
- Attend to administration tasks
- Having Early Childhood Teacher qualification will be an added advantage.
- Ensure the highest quality of education and care is transferred throughout to promote and reflect Blooming Stars' goal to nurture every child to shine.
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year continuous experience in a CM or 2IC role in a long day care setting
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
- Inherently responsible and dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for children and staff
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with families and the wider community
- Strong organisational and time management skills
If this sounds like your next career move, or if you are exploring your career and do not know if this is right for you, then apply, and we can discuss it further.
At Blooming Stars, we connect passionate early childhood educators, teachers and childcare staff with job opportunities.
