About the childcare provider
A small privately owned and established childcare provider. Who provide long day care in a secure and modern environments where young children are nurtured through their infant, toddler and preschool programs. They believe that their team is their biggest asset and they invest in creating a positive and supportive work environment for all their employees. They are now seeking an experienced Centre Manager to join the team and help them continue to provide excellent care to the children and their families.
About the Role
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre. This includes managing staff, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, building strong relationships with families and the wider community.
The successful candidate will be an experienced childcare professional with a passion for providing exceptional care and education to young children. They will have strong leadership skills, be able to motivate and support a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower and motivate your team to provide the highest quality care and education
- Demonstrate strong pedagogy knowledge and an understanding of child development
- Take ownership of the success of the centre and contribute to its ongoing growth and development
- Provide effective leadership and management to the centre, while maintaining a holistic approach to childcare and education.
- Demonstrate a track record of accountability and ownership in all aspects of the role.
- Manage budgets effectively and forecasting future expenses,
- Plan and implement effective strategies to achieve the center's goals, including ongoing professional development, staff training, and performance management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, families, and stakeholders, by fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and transparency.
- Be flexible and adaptable, responding to changing needs and circumstances, while remaining focused on delivering high-quality childcare and education.
About You
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' continuous experience in a Centre Manager role in a long daycare setting
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
- Inherently responsible and dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for children and staff
- Willingness to continue professional development and contribute to ongoing learning
- Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Training
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with families and the wider community
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
