Job description

Our Early Learning service in Clarkson is on the lookout for a passionate Room Leader to take on the responsibility of the day to day running of the room in our beautiful service. This is a key role in the leadership of the centre with an emphasis on creativity and reflection and the ability to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve the practices of the room. Providing the highest level of care and education is critical to this role.Key role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, implement and evaluate programs through your strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and
National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Lead a team of educators ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for our children
  • Create magic moments for children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups and stages of development
  • Motivate and support a team of educators to exceed our quality expectations across curriculum and documentation
  • Build a team-oriented approach by being open to different views, receptive to feedback and reflective upon best practice
  • Bring a friendly, mature and professional approach to everything you do
  • Ensure your room is safe, welcoming and a space that children, educators and parents want to be in

What you will bring
  • Creativity and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach with full-time availability between 6.30am and 6pm
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An ability to develop strong relationships with children and families
  • ACECQA approved Diploma qualification
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain them
  • Current Child Protection Training or willingness to undertake the course
