The opportunity
Our Lake Vermont Project situated outside of Dysart, in Central Queensland is currently seeking an Electrical Supervisor to work within our Coal Handling Production Plant working 5/2 4/3 (9 day fortnight roster). This project is one of Thiess’ largest and longest running projects.
As an Electrical Supervisor at Lake Vermont, you will have the opportunity to develop your planning and leadership skills while supervising a small team and our contract partners, you will ensure all electrical work is compliant with relevant legislation, OEM specifications and Thiess systems to achieve agreed benchmark levels of safety, cost, availability, and productivity. You will manage all aspects of electrical work at the CHPP while creating a safe, productive, and cost-effective environment.
Requirements
We are seeking an individual with strong knowledge of sound maintenance practices and the coal preparation process with extensive electrical experience in planning and executing fixed plant electrical maintenance.
Additionally, you will have:
- Experience in a similar role within a mining environment
- Electrical Fitter/Mechanic trade
- Experience using a CMMS, JDE or similar
- High Voltage Switching and EEHA qualifications an advantage
- Current Driver’s Licence
