About The Role
The CHPP Electrical Supervisor will support our Gunnedah Open Cuts Operation by maximising the operating capacity and availability of all mobile and fixed equipment. This role will be predominately have a focus on maintenance, however, there will be some production requirements on a need’s basis.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine
- Manage the day-to-day electrical maintenance operations and oversee the implementation of electrical maintenance activities to all plant and equipment, while minimising delays to operations.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with statutory and company regulations, Australian Standards, and best engineering practice, and immediately correct any staff member who does not comply with the above.
- Supervise the daily maintenance work of electrical staff and contractors through providing precise instructions to direct reports, overseeing electricians to monitor the works carried out on site, and inspecting electrical works undertaken.
- Ensure all parts and components for electrical maintenance works are available by procuring relevant parts in a timely manner, and efficiently raising purchase orders in PULSE
What You’ll Bring
- Electrical Trade Certificate of Proficiency Qualification (mandatory)
- NSW Supervisors licence or electrical contractor licence (mandatory)
- Supervisor G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3) and Risk Management G2 qualification (desirable)
- Extensive electrical experience in mining or heavy industry
- Experience working on electric driven trucks (desirable)
- Experience working at CHPP/fixed plant (desirable)
- Experience in issuing High Voltage access permits (desirable)
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Planning and scheduling experience
