We invite expressions of Interest to join Sedgman, a growing global enterprise, in a key leadership position.This diverse and rewarding leadership role, based in Queensland, plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of our well-established site.Under the guidance of the Senior Operations Manager, you'll oversee the Superintendent, Production Coordinator, and Administrator, fostering close collaboration with the wider team.Your responsibilities will include direct client engagement and ensuring the technical competence of staff.Additionally, you'll be accountable for adhering to allocated budgets and conducting business operations in line with the Business Strategy and Company Values.We value independence, trust, and initiative, allowing you to make this role your own.What does this role involve?
  • Maintain, nurture and grow client relationships through effective communication and quality delivery.
  • Leadership of multi-discipline teams supporting engagement and productivity.
  • Support of the Business strategy and business development through appropriate financial management controls, good resourcing utilization and optimisation of the plant and equipment.
  • Lead and continuously look to improve production, maintenance and procurement performance while promoting effective use of the operations systems available.
  • Promote a safety culture.
What are we looking for in our future team member?
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Trade with a minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership / manager position within a CHPP.
  • Leadership, project management, time management and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively and proactively manage in a challenging client-focused business.
  • Proven ability to create a positive safety culture.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and experience.
