Our Operation
Ravensworth Complex comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 13.5Mtpa, with a long mine life. The CHPP is a modern dense medium plant consisting of three modules with multiple conveyors, sizers, screens, water management infrastructure, stockpiles and train loading facility, with a capacity to process 3050TPH.

The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a CHPP Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The role be multi-faceted, allowing for flexibility across our mechanical supervisory areas of raw coal, infrastructure, and wash plant; providing robust developmental opportunities for the successful candidate. Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Supervision and management of employees and contractors to ensure work scopes are completed safely and accurately.
- Provide visible leadership, advice and support to employees and contractors.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of and compliance to standards, procedures and processes associated with CHPP maintenance.
- Developing and implementing strategy improvements to achieve reliability and availability levels.
- Working closely with all stakeholders to ensure that all maintenance and other targets are met,
- Maintaining relevant standards of engineering practice.
About you
The ideal candidate will thrive on identifying continuous business opportunities and demonstrate a high concern for the health and safety of others, maintaining a safe workplace by actively following safety systems and ensuring adherence to all company HSEC policies and legislative requirements. You will have;
- Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in a mining environment.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- High level leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations to the team through clear & concise communication.
- Ability to deliver against agreed targets and schedules, while ensuring that all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Strong commitment to safety, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated and able to work within a team of professionals as well as working autonomously.
- Willingness to learn and develop leadership capabilities for career progression.
- Trade qualification (Essential) or Engineering Degree/Diploma (Highly regarded).
- Project management qualifications (Highly regarded).
