About the position

Council’s City Works Department is looking for multiple Maintenance Assistants who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing council’s infrastructures and assets, throughout Frankston municipality in accordance with works and management programs.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Perform all civil infrastructure maintenance tasks and repairs;
• Easement Inspections works, construction and drainage maintenance; and 
• Cleaning activities across all of Civil Infrastructure maintenance works.

This is a Permanent Full-Time role.

About you

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Construction or trades related industry experience, with knowledge and skills in Drainage, roads and signage maintenance;
• Ability to prioritise and plan own work, with independent thinking & problem solving skills and the ability to work individually or as part of a team;
• Current Drivers Licence; and
• Experience in the use of a variety of tools, plant and mechanical equipment relating to civil maintenance.

This position is a Band 2 currently remunerated between $61,852.84 to $63,644.50 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
