Have an eye for detail and enjoy construction? The Certificate II in Civil Construction traineeship is a great stepping stone for a future in construction. This traineeship is a hands-on role working with outdoor teams to construct and maintain our network of assets, such as roads and footpaths.
Key skills you will learn include:
Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
Carry out manual excavation
Carry out measurements and calculations
Read and interpret plans and job specifications
Use hand and power tools
Operate small plant and equipment
Drain and dewater Civil Construction sites
Identify, locate, and protect underground services
Spread and compact materials manually
Repair potholes
The 12-month traineeship under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program will give you:

About you
To be successful in this traineeship you will:
Be organised, reliable and able to follow work instructions
Have a genuine interest in the outdoors and Civil Construction
Be prepared to work in a team and communicate well
Be dedicated to completing a Nationally Accredited qualification
Ideally, have completed a Ready for Work course or equivalent
To be eligible to obtain a certificate during the traineeship, you need to:
Be a Queensland resident with Australian or New Zealand citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia
Have not completed this qualification previously

About the benefits
This is a 12 month fixed-term traineeship with a salary of $41,971 per annum, plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
