We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in Civil Engineering, looking to contribute to diverse construction projects and enhance our operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of construction materials, plant, and equipment, and oversee site activities through detailed programming.
- Analyse architectural and engineering drawings to create cost estimates and detailed cost plans, aiding in budgetary control.
- Monitor design changes, assess cost impacts, and manage design variations effectively.
- Ensure structural integrity by analysing systems under various loads and conditions.
- Supervise the production of structural drawings, ensuring their accuracy and constructability; address any discrepancies through RFIs.
- Oversee the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for quality assurance and handle non-conformances when identified.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify measurements and compliance with provided drawings, focusing on pre-pour inspections and steel formwork verifications.
- Develop and refine construction methods, materials, and quality standards while interpreting and drafting specifications, drawings, plans, and procedures tailored to our project needs.
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors and project teams to manage risks and ensure project specifications are met.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and proactive planning insights.
- Engage with architects, drafters, and supervisors to ensure seamless progress from drafting to fabrication and installation of structural steel stages.
- Coordinate and verify shop drawings, assembly drawings, and ensure quality assurance processes are followed before steel fabrication begins.
- Manage documentation, including 2D shop drawings and 3D marking plan for structural steel fabrication, providing material lists and installation layouts.
- Familiar with Australian Standards for Structural Steel and related industry regulations, ensuring compliance in all project stages.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Civil Engineering, preferably in steel fabrication or related industries.
- Strong ability to analyse and interpret technical data and documents.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving project-related issues.
- High precision in technical tasks and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
- Capable of leading project segments and guiding team members.
