Tailings / Civil / Geotechnical Engineer 

SRK Consulting is an employee-owned, independent, international consulting practice, providing integrated consulting services to the international resource sector. 

We are looking for a talented Tailings / Civil / Geotechnical Engineer ideally with 3-6 years industry experience who is looking to grow their consulting experience in a technically talented Brisbane based team environment where you will be able to innovate and develop your ideas.

The Role:

You can expect to be supporting and providing specialised consulting services to our clients both in the office and in the field. You will be joining a team that provides consulting services to mining industry incorporating studies and technical reporting across a wide range of commodities and projects. Professionally, you will be supported and guided by more senior staff who will mentor and assist you in developing your technical skills and career aspirations, as well as gradually building up a network of clients. Personally, you will join a diverse and passionate organisation where you can drive your own growth and really shape your career.

Our successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience in completing engineering analyses such as stability, seepage and water balance modelling.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, including preparing and contributing to technical deliverables including proposals, reports and construction documentation.
• A strong desire to grow and develop you technical skills in a diverse team.
• Enthusiasm for opportunities for travel and site visits.
• Experience in overseeing construction and operation of mine waste facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external clients.
• Current professional registration MIEAUST or AusIMM membership and/or the requisite experience and qualifications to gain FIEAUST.
• Current Australian working rights, or a valid working visa with a minimum of 12 months working rights.
