Looking for:
We are currently seeking skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Draftspersons to join our team. As a Civil Engineering Draftsperson, you will work closely with our team of engineers and architects to prepare accurate and detailed plans, maps, and drawings for various construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all designs and specifications are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Creating and preparing technical drawings that show the design, layout, dimensions, materials, and specifications required for the manufacturing process of security doors, windows, and sliding doors.
• Drafting plans and layouts for security doors, windows, and sliding doors and showing that how the various components fit together and how they will function as a unit.
• Reviewing and modifying existing designs to improve their functionality or to reduce production costs.
• Communicating with production staff to ensure that the manufacturing process is proceeding smoothly and that any issues are addressed promptly.
• Ensuring that technical drawings comply with all relevant building codes and regulations.
• Examining Civil Engineering structures, as well as arranging and overseeing maintenance and repair tasks.
• Reviewing and revising designs based on feedback from engineers and other team members.
• Understanding instructions for work assignments, implementing the correct procedures, and choosing suitable equipment.
• Coordinating and working with production teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Conduct field surveys to gather data for designs.
• Maintaining accurate records of all drawings, plans, and designs that you create.
• Examining the expenses of materials and verifying that the completed project conforms to specifications, regulations, and contractual requirements.
Skills & Attributes:
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson.
• Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
Job Type & Salary:
• This is a permanent full-time job.
• The base salary will be $80,000 to $90,000 + Superannuation.
Working Hours:
40 Hours per week.
