This permanent job is an opportunity to join the growing community development team as the Principal Civil Engineer at the Albany office, where you will join as a technical leader offering your knowledge and experience in project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors.
Your new role
The Principal Civil Engineer role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis in the Albany office. The role will require you to successfully deliver your projects through your technical design skills, project management and ability to prioritise workloads so that project deadlines are met. Duties will include:- Project delivery across earthworks, roadworks, storm water, sewer and water network design
- Project design and delivery from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation
- Attend and participate in meetings with customers and other consultants including private sector, local and state government bodes
- Assist with project management and business development
- Coach and train other team members
What you'll need to succeed
This Principal Civil Engineer position will suit an engineer who not only is technically strong across Civil Engineering but who is also able to work independently on project delivery, client liaison and has an ability to win work. You will have the following qualifications and skills:- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of civil related design and project delivery of land development and building projects
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
