Civil Engineering Draftsperson

We are currently looking for an experienced Civil EngineeringDraftsperson to become a key member of our highly motivated team for performingdesigning and drawing of plans related to various Civil Engineering projectsundertaken by the business.

Location: CardiffSouth, NSW 2285

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum

Role: Full-time

Keyresponsibilities include:

·      Interpret construction drawings in conjunction withsite plans and discussion/instructions provided by the supervisor or client

·      Prepare accurate and highly detailed 2D and 3Ddrawings and plans using nominated software such as Revit Architecture,Sketchup, AutoCAD, etc.

·      Prepare detailed and accurate inventory/pack listcalculated on the prepared drawings;

·      Develop designs according to the Australianconstruction standards and practices; and computer- based technologies;

·      Prepare charts for drainage, water supply and sewerageto residential & commercial projects

·      Perform sanitary design of plumbing and water supplysystems including firefighting systems

·      Estimate quantities of materials needed forconstruction.

·      Participate in cost analysis by calculating materialcosts.

·      Work with Civil Engineers & Technicians to solve designissues and offer innovative engineering solutions.

·      Analyse proposed factors and review designdocumentation, provide optimisation suggestions, adhere to best practices, andmeet BCA & NCA standards.

·      Collaborate with industry partners to deliverspecialized designs to suit unique projects

·      Collect and analyse the data and perform calculations

·      Supervise and assist construction team to ensure eachstep of construction is according to the developed drawings

·      Conduct survey and submission of survey report

Requirements, Qualification,and Skills:

·      At least 2 -5 years of experience ina similar role

·      Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Architecture or relatedfield

·      Exceptional knowledge of Civil Engineering principles

·      Advancedknowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Sketch up, Photoshop

·       Revit ArchitectureCertification from Austodesk is preferred

·      Expertise in design documentation and optimisation ofCivil Engineering plans.

·      In depthknowledge of BCA and NCA standards.

·      Able to work independently and accept responsibility

·      Strong technical ability
