We are looking for a Full Time IT Systems Administrator to optimize hardware and software technologies, improve system performance and secure data. The role involves contributing to increased productivity by ensuring efficient operation of the company's IT systems. Additionally, the IT Systems Administrator will be tasked with providing day-to-day IT support, managing internal helpdesk functions, overseeing technology projects and collaborating with external service providers to assist with internal IT projects and improvements as needed.
Reporting to the ITC Manager and based at our Kembla Grange office, this role will have a key focus on Database Management, IT Support, Network Administration and Training end-users.
You will be working closely with all internal staff, customers, external vendors and service providers.
To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate the following:
- Good knowledge and expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite (required) and other common software applications.
- Knowledge and expertise of computer hardware systems, including PCs, servers, and networking devices.
- Strong customer focus, with a desire to troubleshoot problems for staff and maintain productivity.
- Highly organized, with proven ability to manage time effectively and to prioritize tasks for multiple internal customers.
- Possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
- A positive and proactive approach to providing support services to staff in all matters related to the IT system.
Preferred Qualifications and experience:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar
- Experience in a technical service desk
- Fair understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Professional or vendor qualification. (Microsoft, HP, Fortinet)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
