As our newest Civil Estimator at CoMade, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and competitive estimation of costs for a diverse range of projects. This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in estimating and tendering, across heavy industry and major projects.
Role requirements
- Conduct detailed cost, time, and labour estimates for civil engineering projects
- Analyse and interpret tender documents, identifying project requirements and potential challenges.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the design team to ensure accurate and feasible project estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed estimation reports BOQ & BOM, highlighting potential areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess multiple years of relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked within the Australian infrastructure sector. A foundational qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required with a high proficiency in MS Office and familiarization with estimation software. Applicants should demonstrate excellent analytical, organisational, and multitasking abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail. Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship building skill are required. Furthermore, a strong sense of teamwork and a commitment to the company's culture and values are paramount.
