Civil Maintenance Crew

• On-going, full-time role
• Based out of our Hoppers Crossing depot
• Band 2 salary of $68,356.55 plus super and fortnightly RDO

A bit about the role

As part of Wyndham Councils Roads and Maintenance Department, you will:

• Fulfill daily allocated tasks in maintaining drains and/or road reserves
• Take responsibility for the care of plant, tools and equipment, including fuel, lubrication and fluid levels as required
• Act on or report observed situations requiring maintenance attention
• Provide a positive personal contribution to the successful operation of the team

What you will bring

• Current truck licence with experience in driving trucks up to 13.9T
• Competence in pavement patching including use of screed board, roller and vibrating plate compactor
• Competence in use of small plant
• Competence in working on roads and traffic control
• Ability to work with other employees and deal with the public in a courteous manner
• Knowledge of road maintenance techniques
• Knowledge of flowcon and vibrating roller
• Certificate of Competency – Backhoe/Loader
