MDM Mining and Civil is an indigenous owned business operating in the East Kimberley. MDM is a head contractor to Rio Tinto’s Argyle Diamond Mine Closure Project. MDM is undertaking the rehabilitation of the West side of the Tailings Storage Facility.
About the role:
MDM has an opportunity for an experienced Superintendent working a 2:2 roster. This role will be responsible for planning and tracking the implementation of the project.
The duration of the role will be approximately 12 months.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing operations and ensuring that site safety requirements are being followed and met.
- Monitoring work and materials to ensure productivity measures and quality standards are being met.
- Supporting supervisors in the management of employees and plant resources.
- Reviewing and driving opportunities for plant and personnel.
- Driving, monitoring, and reporting on project progress.
- Reviewing current practice with a view to identify and implement process/productivity improvements.
- Supporting in the development of employees and providing them with opportunities for learning and growth.
Ensure that MDM processes and improvements are sustained.
About you:
- Previous experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role, leading teams.
- In-depth understanding of executing work in accordance with project plans.
Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong ability to coach Supervisors on managing and supporting the operational team, along with how to make decisions on how to best manage available resources to maximise safety and productivity.
- Ability to effectively manage client demands in balance with the MDM businesses best interests.
Ability to undertake and complete administrative and reporting tasks, required for the role.
Eligibility:
Candidate must be able to undergo a full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen and able to obtain a National Police Clearance less than 3 months old.
