- Safety & Environment: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, identifying hazards, and maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe practices or equipment, while also complying with environmental standards.
- Quality: Take ownership of work quality, recording non-conformances, providing leadership for subcontractors, and fostering a commitment to high standards throughout the project.
- Supervision: Oversee field operations, review specifications, collaborate with stakeholders, and monitor performance to ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Reporting and Communication: Monitor contractor performance, maintain construction schedules, and effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
Required Skills and Competencies
Hold a degree or trades qualification relevant to civil construction.
Possess at least 10 years of experience in civil construction, encompassing earthworks, road construction, foundations, and steel work.
Have a working knowledge of Queensland HS&E regulations and legislation.
Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding detailed drawings.
Exhibit strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment, while also maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
