The Insurance Commission is a State owned Government Trading Enterprise that provides motor injury insurance to almost two million Western Australian motorists and manages the self-insurance arrangements of the Western Australian Government.

The Role
The Motor Injury Insurance (MII) Division manages all personal and fatal injury claims resulting from motor vehicle crashes that involve Western Australian licensed vehicles. The MII Division is seeking to establish a pool of proactive and enthusiastic Claims Officers and Claims Support Officers for vacancies arising over the next 12 month period.
Claims Officer’s, Level 3/5. This customer focused role manages a portfolio of common law motor vehicle personal injury claims and negotiates equitable settlement outcomes in accordance with legislation, standards and procedures.
Claims Support Officer’s, Level 2. This customer focused role receives and enters crash reports and data, provides advice to people involved in motor vehicle crashes and gathers the necessary investigative information to enable a determination of claim liability.
Claims Support Officers and Claims Officers work closely together in a supportive and committed team. These positions provide an opportunity to develop a career with the Insurance Commission.

Appointment Information
In addition to any immediately available position/s, suitable applicants will be placed in an appointment pool for up to twelve months. Selection to the pool does not guarantee appointment. Appointments may be made from this pool as opportunities arise and may be full time or part time, permanent or contract, including contracts with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to permanency.
