About the role
TAFE NSW is looking for a motivated and organised individual to fill a permanent part-time part year (30 hours per week for 40 weeks per year). Class preparation Assistant role based at Coffs Harbour Campus. You will have the opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value and proudly play a meaningful role in the once-in-a-generation transformation of Australia's largest skills and training provider.
The Class Preparation Assistant is responsible for all hygiene and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and compliance criteria around responsible storage and disposal of food, as well as preparation of classroom commodities and food preparation and class set up.
About You
You'll love this role if you….
- Are passionate about maintaining hygiene and food safety standards and have knowledge of HACCP principles.
- See yourself being hands-on in managing equipment levels and quality control of goods in our kitchens, cool rooms, freezers, and dry store areas.
- Are keen to provide food and beverage support services to support learning outcomes.
- Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent, and experience.
- Sound knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles and safe work practices
- Good organisations and time management skills
- Knowledge of relevant consumables and equipment
- Previous experience and understanding of Commercial cookery and kitchens
