Local youth detention centre is looking for a cleaner/kitchenhand to join their team and must hold a WWCC Your new company
This role will be working within a Youth Detention centre in the Brisbane area.
The role is working Monday to Friday with the possibility for weekend work. The role will be working between the kitchen, working as a kitchenhand and for the afternoon working as a cleaner, cleaning the facilities or working in laundry. Your new role
Your role is to perform cleaning tasks utilising a range of materials and equipment to clean various surfaces and maintain facilities in a safe and hygienic condition.
Daily cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, offices, kitchens and common areas.
Operation of hand held equipment; vacuum cleaners, blowers
Removal of rubbish, and appropriate disposal of rubbish, including rubbish to be recycled in accordance with site requirements
Ensuring a professional and approachable manner is maintained
Kitchenhand duties, food prep, washing dishes, food safety, delivery of meals, cleaning of the kitchen
What you'll need to succeed
Valid working with Children's Card - Blue card
Current National police check
Food Safety certificate
A strong work ethic, including the ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team
Demonstrated experience in providing cleaning services in accordance with a service standard
Familiarity with and previous use of a range of materials and equipment to clean surfaces, site areas and maintain clean and hygienic conditions in work area
Ensuring the delivery of quality services
The ability to work under pressure, including an eye for detail
