RSPCA WA is the state’s leading animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of all animals. We have an exciting and flexible part-time, permanent role based in Malaga. The cleanliness of the staff areas and amenities is the focus. The cleaner’s responsibility is to provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for our staff and volunteers. We are looking for an individual with an eye for detail and sense of pride in their work. All required and relevant equipment will be provided by RSCPAWA.
About the Role
Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will be required to undertake general cleaning responsibilities, keeping areas hygienic and clean. Each week you will have a list of tasks to undertake which may include:
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment including vacuums, mops, brooms and dusters.
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, shared areas, workspaces.
- Emptying and relining bins, collecting litter.
- Dusting desks, tables, shelves and ledges.
- Cleaning toilets, sinks, fridges and freezers.
- Cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Turning off lights, AC and locking up where required.
- Reporting issues, maintenance requirements and stock requirements to the Facilities Manager.
- Various cleaning-based operations in other facilities.
What you will need
As a Cleaner for RSPCAWA, you will need:
Experience as a professional cleaner; and:
- Practical hands-on experience and a track record in facility and amenity cleaning.
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning-based plant, equipment and chemicals.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer and email skills.
- Positive mentality can do attitude, and thorough attention to detail.
- A strong value of safety.
