Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 plus 11% superannuation
Our client, Salaam Namaste’s Dosa Hut Harris Park Pty Ltd., a busy Indian restaurant and an impressive multi-cuisine brand for Indian food lovers, is looking to fill a full-time position for a qualified and skilled Restaurant Manager. Your challenge will be to uphold guest expectations, employee requirements and profitability.
The restaurant is a highly regarded venue for both its food and welcoming hospitality in a vibrant atmosphere with a typical Indian sense of family.
The employer is looking for an experienced and motivated person who is qualified as a Restaurant Manager and is capable of serving a high volume of customers. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial brand with strong potential to grow within the business.
You will be responsible for all daily operations of the restaurant inclusive of financial reporting, compliance, staff training, maintaining and creating exceptional customer relationships and being a true professional and face of the business. You will be reporting directly to the owner. You will need proven experience in the hospitality industry in a similar role.
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Maintaining effective management procedures to continue appropriate high levels of customer service
• Follow management procedures to effectively maintain cost budget percentage
• Planning and organising special functions/ catering
• Maximising profitability whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality and service
• Optimising the potential and performance of the team to consistently deliver the expected results and ensure an exceptional dining experience is delivered
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
• Planning menus in consultation with kitchen staff
• Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
• Working alongside an established kitchen and operations team to develop food and beverage menus and creative concepts and strategies
The successful candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, be career focused and have strong leadership qualities. Other key skills and experience will include:
• a minimum of two years' experience in restaurant management
• have relevant qualifications.
• a passion for the restaurant business
• ability to multitask.
• excellent time management skills
• ability to lead and train your team.
You must be a quick learner who is also reliable, creative, organized, hard-working and well-mannered. Our client is looking for a hands-on manager that will lead from the front.
