About you:
You will have demonstrated ability to work autonomously, to maintain effective work output and provide leadership, training, and supervision of work groups in an operational or housekeeping environment. You will have knowledge of equipment, chemicals and material safety data sheets relating to Operational Services Unit in a healthcare setting or organisation with a similar focus. You have demonstrated experience in accountability for the day-to-day standards in cleaning services in a hospital environment or an organisation with a similar focus.
Your opportunity:
Supervise the Support Services cleaning staff of the Cairns Hospital and associated Health facilitates to ensure the provision and allocation of resources to meet operational requirements and adherence to relevant standards, guidelines, and policies.
Your role:
- Liaise with Senior Cleaning Supervisor to receive service requests for cleaning services, utilising approved Queensland Health systems and processes to allocate resources and services.
- Provide initial dispute negotiation and resolution of issues with regards to cleaning staff members.
- Assist in the development of strategies and implement work practices to ensure best business practice allocation of resources.
- On a daily basis, review staffing allocations ensuring that adequate, effective and efficient staffing levels are maintained, and records are accurately completed for Support services cleaning staff.
- Ensure all roster changes are recorded and forwarded to payroll for processing and provide first point of contact support to staff in relation to payroll and leave enquiries.
