CLEANER/ MAINTENANCE WORKER - Part-Time
The IWC is looking for a part-time cleaner/ maintenance worker to deliver services within our Bundaberg Offices.
ABOUT IWC:
IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position will support the Maintenance Supervisor in the upkeep and maintenance of IWC properties. The appointed person will need to have availability from 7:00am until 9:00pm, with varied shifts dependent on duties required.
DUTIES:
- The ability to carry out cleaning duties with limited supervision, work independently and co-operatively participate as a team member, as required.
- The ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment, materials, and chemical supplies.
- The ability to apply Workplace Health and Safety standards.
- Other tasks may include maintenance of gardens and general grounds keeping, as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working as a cleaner or in gardening/ maintenance is preferred but not essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Good teamwork.
- High level of confidentiality.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.
- A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.
- A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.
* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
Your Salary Package is made up of the following: -
- Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $2,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).
- Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after completion of probation).
- 9-Day Fortnight (for full-time staff).
- Superannuation valued at 10.5%.
- Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.
