Take-home salary approximately $109K - $158K annually plus 17% superannuation.Close-knit community environment where your work is genuinely valued.Empower the next generation of vets and vet technicians.Work at our , a heritage rural site with innovative facilitiesAbout This OpportunityJoin our growing Small Animal Primary Care team at UQ Vets, a leading veterinary facility committed to delivering high-quality care and compassionate services.As an Emergency & Urgent Care Veterinarian, you will provide exceptional care to small animal patients including avian and exotic species, in urgent and critical situations.Key responsibilities will include:Managing cases presenting to the primary care service, including routine and urgent/emergency cases.Contribute to the emergency and Urgent Care service, covering day, weekend, and after-hours shifts.Engage in clinical teaching and instruction for undergraduate veterinary science and veterinary technology students.Provide clinical training and mentorship to small animal interns and junior clinicians.Collaborate closely with specialists and experienced clinicians across various disciplines to deliver exceptional care and expertise to our patients and clients.This is a full-time permanent position.An approximate take-home figure may sit in the range $109K - $158K base plus 17% super. The total FTE package will be up to $127,500.84 - $186,830.177 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.However, as a 24-hour operation, your take-home salary will be dependent on your specific roster, including loadings of 50% for weekend shifts, 25% for night shifts, and 15% for afternoon shifts.
