Our Corporate Trust business is a leading provider of fiduciary and digital solutions to the banking and financial services industry in Australia and Singapore. It administers securitisation portfolios, investment and debt structures to protect the interests of our clients' investors. Corporate trust supports clients locally and overseas with a unique offering through five key service offerings: Debt Market Services; Managed Fund Services; Perpetual Asia, headquartered in Singapore; Perpetual Digital, which provides data services and software-as-a-service products; and Laminar Capital, which provides fixed income dealing, treasury and advisory services to government organisations, superannuation funds, local councils, ADIs, not-for-profits, wealth managers and sophisticated investors.
In this role you will have the opportunity to build effective relationships with clients as part of the Custody payment team within Managed Fund Services. This unique role has an emphasis on team work and whilst encompassing Account Management, Risk Management, reconciliations, payments and in particular delivering exceptional Client Service.
About the role
As a Client Service Officer at Perpetual Corporate Trust, you will:
Manage and own an portfolio of 40 clients
Build effective relationships with clients
Act upon Client instructions within required timeframes (SLAs)
Respond to client enquiries relating to various services, financial products, fees and conditions
Clearly communicate with clients to ensure they understand how to engage with us to ensure the best possible results for them
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure successful completion of payments/client instructions
Validate and check authorised signatories from clients' Proper instructions and perform call-backs where applicable
Process payments: domestic, International, BPAY & Direct Entry Files
Provide statements to clients where required
Arrange view access for external and internal Stakeholders
Manage large volume & high value payments
Book FX rates with dealers
Complete Equity transfers including Broker-to-Broker; HIN; Off/On Market transfers and conversions
Complete DVP, Cash, On Market Settlements
Ensure equity and managed fund settlements are settled as scheduled
Perform regular account reconciliations relating to domestic and global transactions
Arrange account opening with banks
Arrange account closures with banks
Arrange opening of Term Deposits
Arrange bank audit confirmations & cheque deposits
Identify risks and determine ways to mitigate them.
About you
Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills
Experience in treasury and retail banking functions
2 Year experience in settlement, reconciliation, payment and account management practices and processes
Experience with foreign currency transactions, global payment formatting, domestic banking platforms, RTGS & DE Files
Experience working in high volume, fast paced operations environment dealing with financial transactions and large monetary amounts on a daily basis
Sound knowledge of SWIFT, EXIGO, RTGS and RITS
Sound Chess Knowledge
