Job Description
As a member of the Environmental team, you will maintain excellence in Client Services and support SGS’s soil, water and air sample receipt and dispatch operations and sample registration. This is a full time permanent position based in Notting Hill, Melbourne.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Provide high quality support and assistance to clients and receive and dispatch samples and deliveries to and from clients and couriers.
- Subject to availability and as directed, establish communication, meet and build and maintain professional relationships with both existing and potential clients.
- Scope and prepare or organise quotations as required.
- Proactively communicate directly with clients regarding any sample, result status, records, turnaround, or laboratory issue that is likely to impact on service delivery, and act as the client’s representative within SGS.
- Facilitate prompt and professional communication between clients and relevant SGS personnel, as appropriate, on service delivery, logistical, technical and client project issues.
- Assist the safe, efficient and harmonious operation of the Sample Receipt facility.
- Complete pre-registration and/or full registration of samples as required, cross-check records with sample labels and containers, digitalise and promptly convey sample receipt information to required locations.
- Liaise and work closely with Client Service Managers, Business Development Managers, Sales Teams and other stakeholders to optimise service needs and be versatile with distinct customer focus.
- Agile coordination of high-quality service to meet deadlines ensuring integrity of service and ongoing relationship growth.
- Relevant Technical School qualifications or tertiary studies.
- Demonstrated experience in handling Petrochemical, Gas or Chemical Products.
- Proficient computer software literacy.
- Knowledge in Quality Systems.
