The Clinical Care Coordinator will provide clinical leadership and work collaboratively with the Facility Manager and key relevant people, residents, and families to oversee and guide effective resident focused clinical outcomes. The role is supported by the Facility Manager and specialist teams in Quality, Learning and Development and ACFI who all assist in championing a continuous improvement program in the Clinical Care of residents at mecwacare.
What you bring:
- Advanced clinical skills including current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to act as a mentor providing guidance to Registered Nursing team and Carers in all aspects of Clinical Care.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead staff, promoting a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Act and its principles, Aged Care Standards and ACFI documentation requirements.
- Mature outlook with the ability to relate to older people.
- Ability to fulfil (ongoing) the requirements of ‘Key Personnel’ as defined in the Aged Care Act
- Ability to operate autonomously and respond in a timely and systematic fashion.
- Infection Prevention and Control Lead (IPC Lead) qualification or in process of undertaking
