Remuneration value up to $547,131 p.a. comprising salary between $9,360.20 p.f. - $9,924.00 p.f. (L25-L27) or remuneration value up to $503,459 p.a. comprising salary between $7,827.20 p.f. - $9,091.70 p.f. (L18-L24); employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), attraction and retention incentive allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover, plus overtime and on-call allowances. Families are well serviced by a choice of high-quality schools and a wide range of sporting clubs with excellent facilities.As the Clinical Director Medicine, you will provide organisational, management and clinical leadership to the Medicine teams across all professional disciplines (medical, nursing, allied health, operational and administration). Your opportunity is to lead clinical service and cultural transformation to deliver optimum patient care including facilitating the development of new models of care that engage local General Practitioners, other primary care providers and non-government organisations.The position forms part of the senior management team that is responsible for the provision of high-quality clinical care for patients requiring medical services with MHHS and delivery of key performance indicators as determined by the HHS.The Clinical Director of Medicine is a senior professional medical officer within MHHS.The position will also:
- Provide leadership, management coordination and planning for the Mackay Hospital and Health Services' Department of Medicine.
- The position, in collaboration with other members of Medical and Critical Care Services and other senior staff of the MHHS, will develop new models of care that facilitate the provision of a high quality, consumer centred, timely and accessible evidenced informed care to individuals, carers/families and the community.
- Have a close liaison with the Directors of all the departments, Senior Management of Medical and Critical Care Services and the Executive of Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
