Clinical Director - Mental Health Services (Mhs)

• Indicative Total Remuneration: $359,094 - $608,425 (Subject to Private Practice Arrangements) MDO2
• Long Term Temporary Contract - Up to 5 years - Full Time Role

As the Clinical DirectorMental Health Services (CDMHS) you will be responsible for the provision of strategic clinical leadership within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) Mental Health Services, and significantly contribute to the achievement of SALHN strategic objectives. As an appropriately qualified medical professional who has the clinical experience, knowledge and skills to assume a leadership role in Mental Health Services, you will provide high level clinical advice that contributes to service planning and assists in the development/implementation of clinical networks, state-wide plans and recommendations.
Along with the Co-Director Mental Health Services, you will jointly lead change management required in the Mental Health Services across the SALHN in order to transition the services to new care models. Your portfolio will focus on Key Performance Indicators in relation to community Mental Health and acute Mental Health service delivery and development. These will include, but not be limited to, Emergency Department Presentations and Discharges, Mental Health Emergency Department and Inpatient services length of stay, and Acute Mental Health Service development.
Holding a Bachelor of Medicine: Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will have appropriate Specialist Qualifications (Psychiatry) and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration. With demonstrated experience in a senior clinical leadership role, you will have a proven track record in the planning and provision of Health Services. You will have a strong commitment to the provision of high quality public hospital Mental Health services, utilising your leadership skills and ability to motivate others to successfully motivate professional groups to achieve best practice clinical outcomes.
