The Position:We are seeking a Clinical Director Obstetrics and Gynaecology to lead and deliver great care and to influence the delivery of services. You will lead, inspire, and foster excellence in clinical outcomes, scholarship, and staff development.The Obstetrics & Gynaecology service is accredited for RANZCOG Specialist Training and is involved in education and research.The role is structured to maintain a minimum of 38 hours p.f. of clinical activities.The Hospital is the main birthing hub for the Region and caters for approximately 1,450 births annually providing a level 4 maternity service. The Antenatal Clinic offers outpatient antenatal care and education; the Antenatal/Postnatal 16 bed ward offers inpatient care and maternity assessment unit; the 5 bed Birth Suite offers care during birth and high dependency care; and the level 4 Special Care Nursery offers medium to high dependency care to neonates.Total remuneration value of up to $493,196 p.a.The Hospital:The Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Medical services include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cancer Services, Cardiology, Renal, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Oral Health, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthesia. There are a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland. The CancerCare Unit provides care for local patients, with state-of-the-art equipment and services.Location:The hospital is located on an idyllic part of the Queensland coast. With over 300 days of sunshine each year there is an abundance of outdoor activities. A region experiencing rapid economic and investment growth following record levels of investment from the resources sector.Mandatory qualification:Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG)Total remuneration value of up to $493,196 p.a. (L27) or up to $453,523 p.a. (L24) is comprised of;A salary between $225,777 - $239,377 p.a. (L25 - L27)A salary between $188,800 - $219,301 p.a.
