About the role:
The Clinical Educator supports the General Manager – Clinical Governance on matters relating to clinical skill, competency and capability across services and programs within Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ).
With an understanding of legislative requirements, the role will assess and anticipate governance and performance needs for clinical education and training through collaborative partnerships across the organisation, deliver value-added service to management and our workforce to support them to meet requirements and achieve excellence in care and clinical practice.
This is an organisation-wide role encompassing residential aged care, community aged care, disability accommodation and services, mental health services and other community services.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in a health profession with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment/working towards completion.
- Post Graduate qualification in Clinical Education
- Demonstrated and proven knowledge of contemporaneous clinical practice and educational practice.
- Thorough understanding and demonstrated experience in educational planning and the application of accreditation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures to ensure best practice requirements are met.
- Thorough understanding and commitment to the principles of continuous improvement and learning needs analysis in a large and diverse service-based organisation.
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including networking and influencing skills with the ability to effectively manage diverse internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a high performing team environment leveraging subject matter expertise from across an organisation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent personal organisation skills and the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and effectively in a busy environment.
