The Opportunity
As Clinical Manager of a Youth Enhanced Service (YES) you will lead, develop, oversee and evaluate implementation of service delivery to young people and their family/carers/kin and friends in accordance with funding agreement requirements. You will foster an environment that promotes youth health and support with a focus on youth participation, access, and family-focused care.
The Clinical Manager will use their clinical expertise to facilitate excellence in integrated, holistic health and social care, youth participation and family-centred practice, with the goal of improving outcomes for young people, their families/carers/kin and the community.
As a Clinical Manager you will provide clinical leadership and oversight for the centre through the provision of complex clinical case service delivery, professional leadership and supervision. You will be required to monitor high risk young people and ensure that appropriate assessment, management and follow up support/referral is provided.

Essential Requirements
- Possession of tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, nursing, occupational therapy, or related discipline along with registration with the relevant discipline specific board.
- Demonstrated experience at effectively leading and reporting on complex planning and service development environments.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing operational systems for a health or community services organisation, including effectively planning and allocating resources in order to maximise operational efficiency and meet funding deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of staff and team performance including recruitment, staff orientation, supervision, performance reviews, staff disciplinary action, performance development and team building.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage in leadership and management processes, including multidisciplinary and/or cross sector initiatives and partnerships with a wide range of professionals, organisations and stakeholders.
- Experience in direct service provision to young people and providing youth friendly, family focused mental health services or programs, including being able to respond effectively to crisis and high-risk situations.
- Demonstrated experience in the establishment and management of clinical systems including the development, implementation and review of clinical governance models, privacy and confidentiality principles.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Capacity to provide evidence-based psychological interventions to young people including the delivery of group programs.
- Desirable: Understanding of the Australian health care system, key issues in primary health care, the mental health service system, including the range of professionals that work within, or come into contact with, the mental health sector.
Other Requirements
- This position will require travel, telehealth and home visit modes of service delivery. Overnight accommodation stays will be reimbursed.
- Successful applicants will also need to hold a ‘C’ class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
