To provide clinical education and training within the maternity unit and special care nursery to promote competence of midwifery staff.

About Broken Hill

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife with at least 3 years full time equivalent post registration experience and postgraduate qualifications in clinical education or training and assessment (or willingness to commence within 12 months of commencement of the role).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment and responsibility for professional practices through the development of self and others.
- Competence in the delivery of adult education at a unit level and understanding of adult learning and assessment principles.
- Experience in the facilitation and delivery of education to peers, clients and other service providers and ability to participate and contribute to the development and facilitation of general clinical education and specific midwifery and special care nursery education.
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of virtual technology,written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership in the representation of the Midwifery profession.
- Experience in facilitating midwifery students and ability to communicate progress with Midwifery Leaders and external education providers in regards to student development and feedback.
