What you'll be doing
Deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Nurse Management, Nurse/Midwife Educators and Clinical Nurse/Midwife Consultants, to support the delivery of clinical best practice, patient service and enhanced patient outcomesThe Clinical Midwife Educator (CME) assists staff in achieving and maintaining both mandatory and professional midwifery education requirementsThe CME facilitates the learning and assessment of students and new graduates within the division of Womens and Children's Health.People with disabilities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply; and where required, WSLHD will implement reasonable adjustment consistent with industry standard.Stepping Up aims to assist Aboriginal job applicants by providing information about applying for roles in NSW Health organisations. • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward/unit level
• Extensive recent Clinical Midwifery experience with a sound knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice
• Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting
• Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching utilising adult learning principles
• Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of midwifery practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment
