- Provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the defined specialty of Infection, Prevention and Control, to deliver high quality clinical services in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and facilitate the implementation and evaluation of care management plans for patients with complex health needs.

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to the specialty of Infection, Prevention and Control, with minimum of three years working in that speciality field, with five year's post registration, and a current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and proven ability to provide clinical leadership in the provision and development of clinical practice utilising evidence based research.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance continuity of care between the speciality, primary care providers and community based services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, present and evaluate education, clinical procedures and policies to staff and the community.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level time management, problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication, report writing and research skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice through planning, quality management and research.
- Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel with possible overnight stays.
