We’re searching for a new Clinical Nurse Consultant (Stomal Therapy) to join our team (can be based in Southern region offices) who will be responsible for providing a consultancy service to our clients in relation to stoma car, fistulae management and wound management. This is a part time role (48 hours a fortnight)
What will my week look like?
- Providing expert assessment, pre-operative counselling and post op rehabilitative care to persons with a stoma
- Demonstrating understanding of client’s physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs in relation to stoma care
- Acting as a resource person regarding stoma care and wound care to staff, clients and their carers
- Developing and maintaining links with key community organisations e.g. Stomal Therapy Association
- Monitoring and evaluating trends in stomal therapy services, influencing strategy and policies impacting on stomal therapy
- You’ll be a Registered Nurse (min 2 years) with post grad Cert Stomal Therapy & Wound Management
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in stomal therapy in order to provide support and expertise to others
- Knowledge and experience in community based care and support services
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
- Current or ability to obtain a national police check
