About your opportunity
Permanent part-time / 64 hours p.f.
The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Continence Advisor is to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of clients within the Continence Advisory Service by utilising holistic and comprehensive assessment practices to formulate and implement care plans in consultation with the client and other treating clinicians.
Skills and experience:
- In an environment of change and evolution in service delivery, must have a proven ability to undertake planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting functions required to facilitate the activities of Service Units and Clinical Networks and provide support to clinical and operational leaders for the projects assigned including representation at forums and meetings as required.
- Proven ability to advocate and support innovative programs to enable restorative/ reablement focus to continence management.
- Demonstrated advanced leadership and negotiation skills that enhance working relationships with all members and stakeholders across multi facilities with multi disciplines, utilising high level of communication skills to facilitate strategic and operational planning, problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to extract information for decision making (including relevant clinical information) by the use of appropriate communication skills and demonstrated problem solving and decision-making techniques.
- Demonstrated sound work ethic with strong self-management skills, a commitment to nursing and flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes
- Salary range of $64.90 to $70.47 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Service as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current Commonwealth National Aged Care Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
