The Role:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Banking Finance team.
This is a dynamic role, with exposure to an Australian Listed Retail company in a challenging, fast paced environment. This exciting opportunity is in our global Banking finance team and an opportunity to help mentor, train and develop team.

The day to day in this role will look like:
The Senior Financial Accountant - Banking will be responsible for:

• Effective Team leadership for four direct reports
• Review of all output for completeness and accuracy of all daily and weekly functions and reporting.
• Review and guidance across all month end related tasks
• Strong leadership and guidance of team members development
• Responsible for all banking administrative tasks for new stores, including but not limited to Merchant IDs and Terminal ownership
• Cash collections
• Banking supplies
• Responsible for all banking tasks for new countries including but not limited to
• Team champion for Adyen and Avalara set ups and relationship management
• Responsible for negotiating and completing paperwork to open Merchant service accounts
• Loss prevention management
• Cash float arrangements
• Management of all banking access
• Completion of Sales reconciliations Future = Oracle and lead integration project
• Auditor Liaison for all relevant regions
• Process improvement across all aspects

• Excellent oral and written communication

• In depth knowledge of how a Banking team operates including daily and weekly tasks, reconciliations etc
• An ability to partner across various Finance groups in the company
• Demonstrate an ability to lead a team and/or project
• Oracle / Oracle Fusion experience desired
• Proven success in process improvement, with a growth mindset in all you do
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree with Accounting or Finance major
• Part or Fully qualified CPA, CA
• Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver results on time in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate team leadership experience
