The CNC2 provides expert clinical advice to consumers, their family and carers, and other health care professionals within the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. Additionally, the CNC2 develops, facilitates implementation and evaluates care management plans for consumers with complex health needs. Furthermore, this role provides an expert Mental Health nursing consultation, clinical leadership including planning and management, research, and education that results in improved care for people accessing the Mental Health Services, their family and carers. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.Selection Criteria to be Addressed: * Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse
- A registered nurse who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition who has a post graduate qualification in the specialist nursing field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the LHD.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework applied to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the initiation, utilisation and review of evidence based research.
- Demonstrated skills leadership in strategic and clinical service planning and expertise in the management of organisational and cultural change.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of Mental Health education programs.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in complex recovery orientated, trauma informed, culturally sensitive and family inclusive consumer-centred Mental Health nursing with the ability to work independently.
- A current NSW drivers licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
