About the Opportunity
Campbelltown Hospital is recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to complement and enhance the current Infection Prevention and Control department.

What You'll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership facilitates evidence based practice. The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of the care in the given specialty.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience

  • Approved post graduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation
  • Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research in the relevant specialty
  • Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
