About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) service within the Ambulatory and Outpatient team for a fixed term position until December 2024. This role is full time with the successful candidate being available to work Monday to Friday day shifts.
The IBD service offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that’s evidence based.
Salary Range: $59.87 - $67.21 per hour (RN 3) plus superannuation + Salary Packaging access up to $15,900

About you
To be considered suitable for this role you must have:
- Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions) with 3+ years’ experience working within an acute hospital environment
- Clinical competency & experience in a clinical leadership role within Gastroenterology/IBD Nursing
- The ability to adapt practice according to the specific and changing needs of the individual, their health needs and preferences across the continuum of care
- Ability to act as a clinical and educational resource within the IBD team to both staff and patients using your knowledge, skills and experience to inform evidence-based workplace practices
- Demonstrated ability to implement service improvements creating efficiencies to optimise patient health outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and actively contribute to MDT meetings
- Experience managing complex medications and biologic regimens
- High level communication skills when liaising with patients, families and staff within professional, legal and ethical parameters
- Exceptional time management
- High level competence in using electronic information systems such as patient information systems, data bases, Outlook and Microsoft Excel
