Job description

The role:
Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop, plan, implement and evaluate education programs that reflect the assessed needs of the workforce and are linked to patient and professional outcomes in the clinical practice setting.
Applies high level professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and multidisciplinary stakeholders to enact education and development strategies for Mental Health Services, Tasmania Police and Ambulance Tasmania staff.
Coordinate the delivery of professional development forums and mandatory skills training for operational staff.
Participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to the professional development of operational staff and the achievement of service outcomes.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 7th July 2025
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Current Tasmanian Working with Children registration
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning
Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications around clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
Conviction checks in the following areas:
crimes of violence
sex related offences
serious drug offences
crimes involving dishonesty
Identification check
Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
