The role of the Mental Health Co-Responder is an advanced mental health practitioner who will work with emergency services providing support and leadership within the Co-Responder Team.
The Co-Responder Model aim is to prevent and safely resolve mental health crisis situations through enhanced co-operation, collaboration and understanding between Queensland Health and Emergency Services (QAS/QPS).
'Permanent part-time role, 48 hours per fortnight'
Generous pro rata remuneration package (Based on full-time equivalent value) up to $159,899 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $64.90 to $70.47 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 17.5% annual leave loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- successful applicant to undertake roles and functions in accordance with the Mental Health Act 2016.Authrorised Mental Health Practitioner Status (AMHP) or ability to obtain AMHP status.
- Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses while not mandatory would be highly desirable in this position.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
