Surgery and Specialist Outpatients Unit are looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their team as a Resuscitation Coordinator. The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of resuscitation. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider facility health care team to support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of resuscitation.Job details Position status Permanent

- Coordinate the education supporting the medical emergency system, including the implementation and participation in Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support training across all clinical disciplines.
- Expert understanding of Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and the Australian Commission of Healthcare Standards.
- Responsible for maintaining access and confidentiality always incorporating technology with compassionate nursing care to achieve a patient centred practice.
- Responsible for the content expertise for resuscitation processes to provide the highest standards of safe quality care and clinical nursing practice to meet the requirements for person centred care.
