About the role
The role of CNC Transit Care and Flow Services provides expertise, leadership and is accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of transit and discharge lounge as well as coordinating the flow of medical patients from Ipswich Hospital to external facilities in partnership with patient flow and access.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a registered nurse who practices at an advanced level of clinical skill and demonstrates specialised clinical expertise in Coordination.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated contemporary management knowledge and skills specifically the ability to deliver effective human resource management and advanced financial literacy within the healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective nursing professional with capability for high level engagement across the spectrum of stakeholders including patients and families.
- Demonstrated contemporary clinical nursing expertise with clear understanding of the requirement for patient centred care
- Demonstrated effective communication skill including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across disciplines.
- Demonstrated skill in financial management, data analysis, outcome evaluation, service improvement and the ability to communicate these effectively to senior management or external agencies.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
