About the Role
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and business functions to support the work of the Manager to achieve the Unit’s operational and strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Manager – Infrastructure Services the core responsibilities include:
- Provide high level, trusted and confidential administrative support to the Manager including management of the diary, written correspondence directed to the Manager and where necessary engage key officers for a timely response to be provided.
- Manage records and correspondence, proactively scheduling, organising, and prioritising meetings and providing support to facilitate the smooth operation of the Infrastructure Services Unit.
- Assist with the screening and processing of a broad range of confidential and sensitive enquiries and requests, and where appropriate follow up with relevant work area, ensuring timely resolution.
- Work closely and in collaboration with other Business Support Officers, ensuring requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
About You
- Demonstrated experience providing a high level of administrative support to managers.
- Experience in local government or other complex and/or political organisations is desirable.
- Experience in MS Office suite of programs and Information Management Systems software programs.
- Qualifications in Business Administration would be desirable.
