About the role

Our Clinical Nurse Educator will provide support by delivering organisation-wide education and clinical education. The Clinical Educator will liaise closely with all stakeholders to ensure that Timboon and District Healthcare Service (TDHS) maintains and enhances the skills, capability, and engagement of our workforce. This position will provide clinical education and support for all nurses working across TDHS. 

Duties include:

• Provide clinical education and training to staff and students including education sessions, study days, workshops, simulation scenarios, and online education
• Evaluate staff clinical skills and conduct competency assessments in line with organisational requirements
• Support clinical programs, such as Graduate Nurse Program, and Certificate III in Individual Support.
• Work with managers on supporting the clinical skills of staff in their team

This is a part-time position at 32 hours per fortnight. Terms and Conditions of Employment will be in line with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with relevant classification.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in nursing with current AHPRA registration
• 5 years of post-graduate experience
• Strong leadership and change management skills
• Strong focus on professional self-development and that of others
• Computer skills with proficiency in programs such as (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and PlaceRight
